Crossroads has a variety of opportunities for students to be involved at many levels. Here you will find the current club related options.

Upper Room for 7th – 12th

Upper Room is for 7th-12th graders and meets on the first Friday of each month.  Students meet in the gym at noon as lunch is provided for them, and then transition to a time of Bible study and prayer.  It is a great time to connect with others, learn more about God, and lift each other up in prayer.

Key Club

Key Club International is a branch of Kiwanis Club and is a student-led service organization for high school students in grades 9-12.  It provides its members with opportunities to volunteer in their community, build character and develop leadership.  Key Club makes a positive impact on our school and our community as members grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage, and developing the heart to serve.  Key Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.

Builder’s Club is a branch of Kiwanis Club and is for 6th -8th graders who would love to participate in projects and fundraisers that benefit our community.  Members learn to work together and develop servant-leader skills as they hold office and volunteer in the area.  Builder’s Club meets on the 2nd Friday of each month.

Eta Sigma Alpha is the first honor society established exclusively for homeschooled students and is for grades 9-12.  The purpose of Eta Sigma Alpha is to recognize and encourage scholarship among homeschool students.  Candidates must meet national requirements set by Eta Sigma Alpha.  There are several meetings a year that include fun times together as well as service opportunities.

Yearbook Staff

Students in grades 9-12 can participate in Yearbook Staff.  Students learn to use the Canva program, work together, strengthen photography skills and enjoy seeing the culmination of their efforts in the published school yearbook.  Students must have a laptop they can bring to each meeting.  Yearbook Staff meets the 3rd Friday of every month.

4-H Club

The 4-H program is grounded in the belief that kids learn best by doing.  Involvement in 4-H includes hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture and civic engagement, all in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.  Kids can concentrate on one focus area, or they can try a variety of programs throughout their 4-H experience.  Regardless of the project area, all 4-H programs include mentoring and career readiness as core elements.  4-H meets the 1st Tuesday of each month.

RCS Robotics

Students interested in programming, engineering, design, marketing, or electronics can join the Robotics team.  This is for students between the ages of 12-18.  Students compete in the BEST Robotics Competition every fall.  This combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.  Under strict rules and limited time and resources, the team is challenged to work together to build a robot to complete various tasks as they compete with other area schools.

CC Flyers

The CC Flyers Running Club is open to students ages 6-18.  Workouts are held at Moody Park on Monday afternoons at 4 pm and on Saturday mornings at 8 am.  CC Flyers offers a total physical fitness program that develops a child’s cardio-respiratory system, lower body strength, flexibility, and balance.  This is done through a progressive-type running program that is customized for each child based on their current ability.  In addition to running, body weigh exercises and stretching routines are also incorporated.  The CC Flyers Running program is not in competition with other sports programs but rather complements them by improving a student’s speed, reducing potential for injuries, and giving students the stamina to outperform in any type of sports program.  This program has been found to be beneficial in ballet, dancing and singing as well as all sports.
